JASON LAPIN

Jason Lapin has been training in Muay Thai and Kickboxing for the past 18 years.

He first started in a backyard with a friends dad. The itch grew and so did Jason's skills, along with the hunger to be a champion so he began training in Penrith with legend, Steve Sciberus for about a year then found a gym in Blacktown, Fight Rite. This is where Jason started his fight career. He had 15 fights under the watchful eye of Rhett Junker where he and Rhett chased the dream of becoming Fight Rite's first ever champion. The dream became reality in 1998 when
Jason became WKA Superlight Weight East Coast Champion and then in the same year the WKA State Champion. Jason was on a roll and ranked number 3 in Australia at the time. Jason went on to have 21 fights in total - a few in the end under Glen "The Bustler" Baragry.

In 2000 while on his first trip to Thailand, Jason discovered Muay Thai. He visited Rawai Muay Thai and was blown away by Tuk and his brothers so enthusiastically started soaking up all that was Muay Thai. He regularly travels to Thailand to train at Rawai Muay Thai to learn from the best and experience the hardest training sessions of his life.

That year Jason realised that Muay Thai would become his life so bought and old kickboxing gym in Penrith and Jabout was born.

Jabout has produced many champions, both male and female, who have collected State Titles to Australian Titles to World Titles. His fighters have fought in many continents in the world and on shows like KO World Series, K1 and Shootboxing where Jason's skills as a trainer and manager has earned him a reputation for producing top quality fighters.
